After some leaks earlier this week, Ubisoft has finally announced that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is officially a thing. As you can tell by the art, the assassin protagonist this time around is a pirate who is just overloaded with guns all over his body.

Confirmed platforms include the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U, with the PS3 version set to include “60 minutes of exclusive gameplay.”

Destructoid got to see exactly what Ubisoft is planning for Black Flag, but you’ll have to come back on March 4 to get the full breakdown of the next Assassin’s Creed including what platforms the game will appear on. Until then, what do you think of the new pirate setting?
