GAME STORY

A devastating ambush in the deep of night by their sworn enemies the Black Bears leaves members of the Greymanes dead or scattered across the continent. Kliff – having lost his Greymane comrades, his family in all but name – is determined to reunite with the survivors, rebuild the fallen Greymanes, and reclaim what was lost. But on a journey where alliances are forged, dangers abound, and mysterious factions are uncovered, Kliff will come to realize that an unprecedented threat and a destiny greater than he imagined await him.​

Impressive efforts with a few noticeable problems holding them back. Won't astound everyone, but is worth your time and cash.

Crimson Desert features a fantastic, content-rich open world where player freedom is the number one priority. There is so much to do and so many places to go to that it's easy to get lost among its ancient ruins, mystical forests, and snowy mountains. A lack of polish breeds frustration, but nothing can shake up the firm foundations of this incredible title.

Pros

• Massive open world with countless activities, stories, quests, and places to explore.
• Intuitive, satisfying combat complete with numerous options of weapons and armor.
• Beautiful graphics and performance that puts most AAA games to shame.
• Recognizable, unique boss fights that let the combat shine.
• Hundreds of hours of gameplay where you're free to do whatever you want.

Cons

• Horrible balance, especially when it comes to bosses and certain region liberations.
• Sometimes rather repetitive.
• Unlocking and doing certain things can and does feel like a chore.
• Overall lack of polish and quality of life that can be fixed post-launch.
