The Shatterseal Great Sword is a weapon unlike anything else in Monster Hunter Wilds, and getting the opportunity to craft it is a test in itself.

The Great Sword has always been one of my favorite weapons since the launch of Wilds last year. However, the Shatterseal Great Sword is an exclusive item that was added to the game in February 2026’s title update.

While you can craft the weapon for free, getting the chance is a difficult task. Let’s look at the exact process so that you can add it to your arsenal.

How to craft the Shatterseal Great Sword in Monster Hunter Wilds

There’s good news and bad news when it comes to obtaining the Shatterseal Great Sword. The good news is that you can craft it with the Master Craftsman’s Blueprint. The bad news is that obtaining this blueprint is quite difficult. This is not an endeavor for beginners.

To get the Master Craftsman’s Blueprint, you have to complete the new quest called Every Hunter’s Dream. While the quest isn’t as hard as the Proof of a Hero event, it’s a challenging one. You have to take down four Tempered Quematrice and a Tempered Mizutsune in this 8-star event. The quest, once started, will lead you to Wounded Hollow.

You have to complete the quest in 50 minutes, and you’re allowed a maximum of three faints. If you’re a veteran, completing the quest shouldn’t be a challenge. However, you’ll have to complete the event three times. You will need a total of three Master Craftsman’s Blueprints if you’re aiming to get both the Shatterseal and the Shatterseal Drakesnest Great Swords.

The Shatterseal Drakesnest becomes a necessity if you want to use the Shatterseal Great Sword as a Layered Weapon.

Here’s the complete list of requirements.

Shatterseal

  • Two Master Craftsman’s Blueprint
  • 12 Quematrice Scale+
  • Four Bubblefoam
  • Two Wyvern Gem

Shatterseal Drakesnest

  • Five Hunter Symbol III
  • One Master Craftsman’s Blueprint
  • Eight Quematrice Igniter+
  • One Mizutsune Water Orb

Shatterseal Great Sword stats and skills in Monster Hunter Wilds

Here are the stats and skills of the Shatterseal Great Sword.

Shatterseal

  • Attack: 198
  • Affinity: 0%
  • Element: None
  • Sharpness: White
  • Decoration Slots: 3 Level 2 Slots

Shatterseal Drakesnest

  • Attack: 198
  • Affinity: 0%
  • Element: None
  • Sharpness: White
  • Decoration Slots: 3 Level 3 Slots

Weapon Skills

  • Shattering Reflection (Level 1)
  • Focus (Level 3)

While the Shatterseal Great Sword is pretty great in terms of skills and stats, it’s not the best option when it comes to endgame weapons. If you’re going to use this for 9-star and 10-star quests, you’ll want to go with the Shatterseal Drakesnest route. The lack of true elemental damage really holds back this weapon, but it’s still worth adding to your arsenal.
