Merits is a brand new currency you can earn in ARC Raiders Shared Watch, which can earn you different rewards for free.
There are various ways to earn Merits in ARC Raiders. This currency is exclusively used within the Shared Watch event. Let’s find out how it all works.
How to earn Merits in ARC Raiders
To earn Metits, you’ll need to get yourself XP. For every 100 XP you get, you’ll receive one Merit. However, this XP is different from that which you normally earn in-game to level up your account.
- You get Merit XP from damaging ARCs.
- Get a one-time chunk of Merit XP when you destroy an ARC. This applies to all ARC enemies, with the bigger ones granting more.
- You’ll also gain Merit XP by helping others to destroy an ARC.
To receive all the available rewards, you’ll need to earn plenty of Merits. Incidentally, the Shared Watch event isn’t a PvE-exclusive mode. You can still hunt and be hunted by other players. However, taking down a player won’t earn you any Merit or event XP.
If you solely want to focus on earning Merits to finish the event, you should hunt down as many ARCs as possible.

How to earn Merits fast in ARC Raiders
The core method of earning Merits is pretty simple. However, there are a few things you can do to increase the rate of earnings.
- Complete the Queen and Matriarch events as much as possible. Finishing them is difficult as you’ll face the strongest ARCs. However, you get to damage them more and gain plenty of XP pretty quickly.
- Use weapons that are good against ARCs. Not every weapon is a PvE weapon. If you have the necessary resources, my recommendations will be the Hullcracker and the Equalizer. The Renegade is a great, cheap alternative, especially when you’ve upgraded it.
Ideally, stay away from PvP for now, as you won’t want to get killed while trying to farm all the rewards.
