That music. To unfamiliar ears, it will undoubtedly sound inviting, but those of us who got into Terraria on PC — and I mean really got into the game — we know the truth. That, left unchecked, this exploration-centric action/adventure title will consume your very being. It’s too early to say whether I can resist the temptations of this new version for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, but I don’t like my chances.

This trailer highlights what’s being included in the transition to consoles, such as: a new tutorial and world map, alternate controls, four-person splitscreen (restricted to HD), eight-person online multiplayer, additional armor and enemies, and a new final boss. To be frank, this could be the same old Terraria, and while there’d be some amount of outcry, it would print money regardless.
