YAPYAP has different ways of vandalizing the castle, and one such activity is to burn books.
While burning books causes chaos, it’s also essential for completing contracts. Contracts allow you to get plenty of Gold, which can be used to buy new wands and other resources. Let’s look at how you can burn books quite easily to complete the contract (or just cause mayhem).

How to find books in YAPYAP
Finding books requires you to travel inward into the castle. While the layout of the map rotates based on the night (first, second, or third), the positions of items appear to be relatively the same. I found a book on the first night.
Once you’re past the first room (that has several candleholders), you’ll come across the first corridor where an armchair will attack you (there’s usually a monster present as well). You’ll find a table from where the armchair attacked you, and the book will be on the table, with some lit candles.
You can grab the book with your LMB, but it can’t be moved to your inventory.
How to burn books in YAPYAP
My first try was to grab the book and put it on fire with my candleholder. However, that didn’t work. I tried putting the book on a lit candle, but that didn’t work either. To burn the book, you’ll either need one of the large holders that hold multiple candles or a torch. The torch is the best way to burn a book (or anything down).
To burn the book, carry it to a convenient place. Then, select the torch from your inventory, and use the RMB while aiming at the book. This will light the book on fire and help you complete the contract. You’ll need to burn several books to complete the contract. The core process will be the same, so keep adding torches and finding the books all around the castle.
