Disgaea Dimension 2 features a new hub, Laharl’s sister

Sicily looks like a welcome addition

More news is starting to roll in for Disgaea Dimension 2, and it’s looking better and better as time goes on. It looks like a new cast member will join in for this direct continuation of Hour of Darkness: Laharl’s younger sister, Sicily.

Apparently in addition to being a pretty mean cook, she can also be kind of mean in general, as she wants to take over Laharl’s job of Overlord of the Netherworld. Whether she’ll be a real antagonist or more of a lighthearted one is yet to be seen.

Some other gameplay details have emerged, like the fact that a new Overlord’s castle will be the hubworld, and it’s fully explorable with Laharl, Etna, or Flonne, who will all have different experiences with the castle itself.

The last bit of info is the fact that the Dark Assembly has returned — a feature of the first game that allowed you to change the outcome of the game, or pretty much everything else regarding gameplay. Just like the original, if you don’t like what the politicians have to say, you can either bribe or fight them to get your way.

Sounds like a Disgaea game! It’ll launch in Japan on March 20th, 2013, and there’s currently no western release date.
