Witness the agony and ecstacy of the Wii U launch event

Where dreams become nightmares and then dreams again

Like it or not, everyone is talking about the Wii U. Some people who hated the Wii seem to love the thing. Others who enjoyed the Wii have little to no interest in the reinvention of the product. Still others have never even heard of the Wii U, while still others more had decided long ago that they were buying the console on day one, no matter what it cost them (financially or otherwise.)

All of these groups and more were well represented in the cluster of hundreds of people huddled around the Nintendo World Store in New York City during Nintendo’s Wii U launch extravaganza. Check out the video to see what adventures unfolded thereabouts, and thanks to Samit Sarkar (Polygon.com), Geoff Keighley (Video Game Awards), Jessie Cantrell (Nintendo Show 3D). Triforce Johnson (Wii U’s first customer) and everyone else who talked to us at the event.
