Borderlands PC update: Steam cloud saves, stat tracking

Recommended Videos

Gearbox Software is looking for fan feedback when it comes to Borderlands 2, as we heard earlier today. Going a step further, the company is experimenting with a limited-time stat-tracking service called BTest.

The Steam version of Borderlands has been updated to allow opt-ins for this. If you participate, data along the lines of “what guns are the most popular and effective, what areas are being played the most, etc.” will be collected and used to aid in development of future Gearbox titles.

And even if you’re not into BTest, the update also adds Steam Cloud saving. As far as I’m concerned, this is a must-have for games on the platform.
