Don’t watch this launch trailer for Chivalry: Medieval Warfare if you’re the kind of gentle soul who doesn’t like seeing people’s heads fall off. Fair warning: there’s a decent amount of that in here. This first- and third-person melee game from Torn Banner Studios is available now for PC via the usual digital distribution outlets.

Environments appear to be the the star of this multiplayer-centric game. That pit! The bridge! These are the types of places that should generate some great emergent gameplay — the kind of battles you tell friends about as if the encounters physically happened in real life.

We’ll have a review coming later this month, but if you aren’t patient enough to wait that long, I totally feel you.
