Re-release of cult hit to improve gameplay and add new features

Rising Star Games has confirmed today their intention to publish a “Director’s Cut” edition of the 2010 small-town suspense thriller, Deadly Premonition, early in 2013 for PlayStation 3. This new version will feature updated controls, new scenarios and “high-definition graphics,” as well as offering downloadable content.

This makes me so happy. I might be happier if they just did away with combat altogether in the game, but I’m happy to accept the control improvements. The prospect of having new adventures with Francis “York” Morgan makes me all tingly inside and, perhaps best of all, it doesn’t have hideous box art, so hopefully people seeing it in stores won’t instantly turn their noses up.

Oh, happy day!
