Trademark hints that Quantic Dreams’ Infraworld lives

Recommended Videos

Sony Computer Entertainment has filed a trademark for Infraworld, which has some speculating it could be the next project for Heavy Rain developer, Quantic Dream.

A game by the name of Infraworld was previously in development by the studio, as far back as 2006 when the game was eventually canceled. “The concept did not appeal to publishers,” Quantic Dream COO Guillaume de Fondaumiere said at the time. An easter egg referencing the title, an advertisement for the game, appeared in Heavy Rain (as seen in the above video).

Given the connection, it seems incredibly likely that Infraworld will be the title of Quantic Dreams upcoming title, one of two reportedly in development. Whether it will resemble the game that was canceled five years ago we’ll never know: Quantic Dream revealed little but the game’s name.

Now about that Omikron sequel…
