Prior to this quest, there’s a good chance you haven’t encountered or interacted with Slurp Geysers. This makes it a tricky task to get done since you likely have no idea where to look or how to use them. If this mission has you stumped, here’s how to gain shields using Slurp Geysers in Fortnite.

There are four locations you can visit to find Slurp Geysers around the island in Fortnite. All of these locations are bug-infested zones, so you must act quickly and carefully to use them for shield restoration, as many hostile bugs and players will likely be hanging around the area. The four spots you can visit are:

  • The Hive
  • Ranger’s Ruin
  • Swarmy Stash
  • Demon’s Debris

There’s only one Slurp Geyser present at each of these locations. You can distinguish them from other pools around the area by searching for a rocky circle with bubbling blue liquid in the center. Around every 10 to 15 seconds, these Slurp Geysers shoot liquid up into the air.

To complete the Gain Shields using Slurp Geysers quest, you need to receive a total of 100 shields from Slurp Geysers. This takes a minimum of four boosts from the geyser since each one only restores 30 shields. It’s a bit of a tricky process to navigate, so here’s how to get it done.

  • Find a Slurp Geyser. Visit one of the four bug-infested POIs around the island, including The Hive, Ranger’s Ruin, Swarmy Stash, and Demon’s Debris.
  • Stand on the Slurp Geyser. Move your character to have them stand right in the center of the geyser.
  • Wait for the Slurp Geyser to erupt. It usually takes around 10 to 15 seconds for the geyser to activate.
  • Fly back down to the Slurp Geyser. Each time the geyser erupts, it sends you up into the air, so you’ll need to travel back down to it so you can restore more shields. It only grants you 30 for each trip into the sky.
  • Repeat this process until you have 100 shields. It takes four geyser trips to get the 100 shields you need to fully finish this quest.

Throughout the bug-infested zones, there are some stagnant Slurp pools that can be used to replenish your shields, too. These pools don’t count for this mission, though, so be careful of stepping in any other bodies of liquid while working on it. If you accidentally do, you’ll need to find a way to get rid of some shields so you can get the 100 required for this mission from the geyser.

There are plenty of other tough missions to get done around the vast Fortnite island after this one is complete.
