En Masse Entertainment has announced its intentions to release its upcoming action-focused MMO, TERA, in the spring of next year. The title was originally expected to launch this fall.
“Adding time to our schedule will help us ensure we exceed people’s expectations for TERA,” said publishing VP, Chris Lee. “The game’s action combat and depth has generated a lot of interest, and we are committed to making sure every aspect of the game lives up to our standard of quality.”
En Masse demoed the game for me prior to E3, and was pretty adamant that the game’s action — which it likened to AAA third-person action titles — would set it apart from the MMO pack. On paper, that sounds good to me; I’m not a huge point-and-click, repeatedly hit various number keys to launch spells kind of guy. I haven’t had a chance to get my hands on it just yet, so I’d be interested to see how it’s panning out.
