There are Banjo-Kazooie rumors circulating online—and I don’t buy it

Don't believe what you read online.

I awoke this morning to check social media like I usually do for the Morning News run, expecting nothing much apart from a few sprinklings of details for the upcoming Pokémon World Championships. Instead, though, I was greeted with a massive amount of retro social media users discussing an apparent Banjo-Kazooie rumor that is circulating online.

I can understand it, as the Banjo-Kazooie community has been craving some type of good news for many years now ever since the aforementioned Nuts and Bolts came out to general distaste but looking further into it it appears that these rumours are circulating from a singular source that claims to know something is going on but doesn’t quite tell us what it is

So, while I was inclined to ignore these details, I felt I should give a more general PSA on the goings-on in case someone like me wakes up to these rumors and is wondering what the heck is going on. In summary, there is a rumour going online right now that something Banjo-Kazooie related is set to be announced, but we don’t exactly know what it i,s with the primary source of the rumour stating that it’s not a new game or a new partnership or a fan game but it appears to be a port of the original game to other systems like PC.

It’s hard to take these rumors as factual, given that the source is a single one, but the community has since come together to agree that the most likely announcement of anything would be a PC port of the original two games or at least the first game.

I don’t buy it, though, and I don’t think you should eithe,r and my main reason for making this article is so that if someone searches about the circulated rumours this morning that I saw on social media, someone can hopefully find this and get more information then fall into the hype trap that a lot of fans seem to be doing.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see a new game in the series or at least something to revive the bear and bird for modern audiences, mainly because we are seeing a lot of creative studios do something cool with platformers and collectathons again. But in this instance, I’ll say what I always say.

I’ll believe it when I see it.
