In revealing its Q1 fiscal year 2013 financial results, Electronic Arts shared a few highlights. While the big news of the day is clearly that Star Wars: The Old Republic will adopt a free-to-play model, there’s a few other interesting tidbits worth pointing out here.

We already knew that Battlefield 3 Premium had a successful launch, so it should come as little to no surprise that the service has sold 1.3 million subscriptions to date, according to EA. FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3 have together sold through 2 million units in the first quarter.

Digital distribution platform Origin has seen over 21 million registered users so far, including 9 million mobile users. EA is also touting having signed agreements with 57 independent developers, which sounds funny on paper but is certainly good to see nonetheless.

Rounding out the morsels of positive news, the company is reporting 10 million active SimCity Social users and a 37 percent year-over-year increase in digital net revenue for mobile phone/tablet games. How much longer before this stuff starts to flatten out?
