Time travel via Master Sword may not be all that hot

In Warialasky‘s latest video, the man stumbles across the legendary Master Sword in a deep forest. Naturally, his instinct is to pull it from its pedestal, though there ought to be a warning label somewhere on the thing about sudden seven-year timeskips. You never know what sweeping changes your actions in the present may effect.

Now that I think about it, does this mean he’s not at the proper age of the Hero yet? He looks old enough. Maybe he’s still a kid at heart? But then why did the kid Links in games other than Ocarina of Time not get thrust into the future? Explain that little plot hole, oh infallible timeline!
