Club Nintendo is now offering Starship Defense

Recommended Videos

Remember when I posted the Club Nintendo offerings for this month, and I said I was unsure of what would happen after a mysterious mid-month deadline for Electroplankton Rec-Rec?

Club Nintendo wasn’t kidding, as Rec-Rec is completely out, in favor of Q-Games’ Starship Defense (eShop, 150 coins). For those of you who aren’t familiar with Q-Games, they’re the lovely people that make the PixelJunk games, as well as a number of DSiWare and first party Nintendo titles.

Just as a note, even though the game is technically a DSiWare title, the code from Club Nintendo can only be redeemed on a 3DS. In other news, the Mario Tennis (Wii VC) promotion is slated to end July 22nd, so check back then for another potential addition.

Do you like Nintendo’s new staggered schedule for Club Nintendo games? Or would you rather have a larger, meatier offering at the start of the month?
