Little Inferno, as you might recall, is a new game in development from some of the folks behind World of Goo and Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure. You ought to watch the embedded video; it starts out innocently enough, but quickly delves into a dark, dark place. I’m so in.

The official website has a description of gameplay: “Burn flaming logs, screaming robots, credit cards, batteries, exploding fish, unstable nuclear devices, and tiny galaxies. An adventure that takes place almost entirely in front of a fireplace — about looking up up up out of the chimney, and the cold world just on the other side of the wall.”

Developer Tomorrow Corporation says Little Inferno will be free of DRM and as “short, polished, and perfeccct as possible.” It’s listed for a winter 2012 release and will be available on Windows, Mac, Linux, and even Wii U. They’re also kicking off a paid beta/early access program, as detailed on the site.
