There are various factors that come into play when talking about the best units in Anime Run Kingdom. You have different roles and positions, how hard units are to grind and evolve, how crucial they are to the team composition, etc. I’m going to show you the most powerful units for each role through our Anime Run Kingdom unit tier list for both beginners and mid-to-late game players.

Anime Run Kingdom Tier List (All Game Modes)

This is the main Anime Run Kingdom tier list you’ll need from mid to late game once you start doing Raids, Events, Infinite, etc. It includes your first few evolutions of which Full Power Breeza’s evo materials are the easiest to get (via Raids). This is also the part where you’ll start needed two healers/supports so they’re SSS Tier right of the bat. This tier list takes into account gear and best DPS or utility based on the role as well as how hard it is to grind vs the value you get. Check out the ranking reasons for each unit below.

SSS-Tier Anime Run Kingdom Units

UnitBondRanking ReasonHow to Get

Breeza (Full Power)
Villains• One of the best evolutions in the game DPS wise
• The easiest evolution you can get (All materials are in Raids)
• You can solo Raids with evo Breeza if you have Zura and Agua+Bokki
• Base Breeza is also decent as you farm for Full Power
Evolve Breeza with Raid materials

Agua
Useless Party• Best healer in the game
• Can solo heal a team
• Can’t Raid well without her
• Get any healing set
Banner Summon

Zura
/• Best tank in the game due to Summon that gives your team 65% damage reduction
• Get double def/hp gears
• Best for solo Raids
Banner Summon

Shadow
Shadow Garden• Best non-evo DPS unit in the game and can compete with most evos
• Easier to get than most evolutions
• Get double attack gear
Event Shop

Bokki
/• Best support in the game
• Essential for late game solo Raids
Banner Summon

Astra (Devil Union)
/• Incredibly high ATK and DEF potential as the level goes on due to Innate Passive
• Amazing for Infinite
• Incredible damage the longer the level and his Infinite Slash Equinox ability deals incredibly damage paired with his innate defense shred
Evolve Astra

Bow
Servants• One of the best Ranged units in Anime Run Kingdom
• While Caladbolg Shot focuses on one enemy it ramps up to evolve into Unlimited Blade Works for massive damage
• The best DPS unit to bring to Raids and Infinite
Evolve Shiro (Epic)

S-Tier Anime Run Kingdom Units

UnitBondRanking ReasonHow to Get

Broccoli S
/Zawa (Bandana) competes with Broccoli S and is probably better but
Broccoli S still brings great staying power and DPS in a prolonged fight due to his transformation.
Evolve Broccoli Z

Arucardo
/• Decent overall damage that competes with Mythics but you want Arucardo for healing
• He has a 5% on-kill to heal your entire team
A 0.1% Summon chance from the Premium Banner
(125.000 Gems without VIP, 100.000 Gems Pity with VIP)

Shielder
/• Shielder is one of the best tanks in the game
• He both shields with his skill scaling with DEF and also soaks 30% of the damage your team takes
Summon

Delto
Shadow Garden• Delto isn’t here for the DPS but for her defense shred
• Only S-Tier if you have room for her, otherwise she’s C
Event Shop

Violet Grass
/• You want Violet Grass for his ability that disables enemy skills for 5 seconds
• Amazing debuff support
Evolve 25th Beem which you get from Tower rewards

11th Kenpaki (TYBW)
Zawa (Bandana)
Sesoke (Curse Mark)
Cokeku (Angel SSJ3)
Byekuya (TYBW)
Soul Reapers
Soul Captains
Strawhats
Villains
Z Fighters
All of these are balanced against each other for some of the best Evolution units. The problem is that they take 5 to 15 hours of grinding their stages to get Evolution materials. That’s why Breeza Full Power evolution is so good because you can get it all from Raids. All of these can also solo with Agua, Zura and Bokki keeping them alive. Zawa (Bandana) can probably go into SSS tier once you finally grind him.Evolutions of their base version.

Kiwido (Star King)
Azuno (Stacia)
BeatersBoth of these Evolutions are from the Battlepass Materials and are therefore much easier to get than the regular evolutions above. You get the Evolution materials for Kiwido and Azuno at Level 50 Battlepass. Kiwido’s is locked behind the Premium version though. Either way, they’re a good Evolution option if you don’t want to grind as much.Level 50 Battlepass Material Evolutions

A-Tier Anime Run Kingdom Units

UnitBondRanking ReasonHow to Get

Weguto (Majin SSJ2)
Huffy (Snake Man)
RukiRuki (TYBW)
Villains
Strawhats
Soul Reapers
These are similar to the Evolutions above but these three are slightly weaker than the Evolutions above. Evolve into these only if you’re not getting the materials/Mythics for the ones above or if you really like these characters/want to complete a Bond set effect. Otherwise the same strategy works here except Huffy’s not as good of a tank as Zura.Evolutions of their base version.

The Typhoon
/• Excellent off-DPS or replacement for a Meta DPS if you don’t have themBanner Summon

Megumen
Useless Party• Great AOE burst damage
• She would be higher but she stuns herself on skills and attacks
Banner Summon

Epsolon
Shadow Garden• Potential to be the second best tank after Zura.
• Better than Huffy (Snake Man) in most cases
• Build double def/hp gears
• Best combined with Shadow for the Shadow Garden buff
Event Shop

Freerun
Smush
Eyehawk

/These are the best DPS Mythics/Banner Summons in the entire game. Frieren is the best beginner Mythic/Banner Summon that you should go for while Eyehawk and Smush depend on your team. Overall, if you need to fill out a role and you don’t have Evolution units or Event units, these three are your next best choice.Banner Summon

B-Tier Anime Run Kingdom Units

UnitBondRanking ReasonHow to Get

Norato (Sage Mode)
Team 7• Weakest Evolution unit due to cooldowns and stats but still a decent option
• The evolution materials are also hard to get
Evolution of Norato (Teen)

Soonade
/• Not as good as Agua but still a decent replacement if you don’t have Agua
• Good if you want a double healer
• Get a healing set on her
Banner Summon

Broccoli Z
Villains• An okay beginner Mythic tank
• Gets outclassed by Epsolon and Zura because he’s a damage/tank hybrid, not a true tank
• Easy to get
Banner Summon/Free Mythic

Alpho
Shadow Garden• Best DPS in the Shadow Garden set after Shadow
• Good if you want a double Shadow Garden DPS for the Bond set bonus with Epsilon tank and Shadow main DPS
Event Shop

Yurr
/• Yurr is a decent secondary DPS you can get if you don’t have some of the higher-tier DPS units
• The community is saying she’s S-Tier but this was due to a bug that was fixed so ignore that
Banner Summon

C-Tier Anime Run Kingdom Units

This tier is filled with underpowered Mythic units for various reasons except Delto who you can bring for defense shred and she becomes higher-tier in those cases. For example, Gone has really bad cooldowns and Liveua being really squishy. Redward got better with buffs but overall the C-Tier units are either beginner options if you don’t have better ones or units to be ignored.

These are the characters you should be aiming for in banners as you’re starting out in the game. There are no Evolutions here, just Mythics, important must-have healers, and pretty decent Epics. These are good for progression and farming, but don’t bring them into Raids. The best early game units in Anime Run Kingdom are:

  • S-Tier: Include one for each role from here with Mihawk or The Typhoon being excellent DPS, Agua or Bokki with upgraded skill for Healing, and The Shielder for tanking.
  • Free Battle Pass Units: Pick up the Beater Bond combo with Kiwido and Azuno which are excellent both for early and late game once evolved.
  • Quick Bond: One of the best healers in the game Agua and Megumen in A-Tier form a really nice DPS/Healer combo that has the Useless Party bond for -10% cooldowns.
  • A-Tier: This is where you can find the next best healer and alternative options if you don’t have the S-Tier.
  • B-Tier: This is where you can find the Epics in the game and Breeza should be your goal since he’s one of the easiest units to farm evolution materials for.
  • C-Tier: These are the underpowered Mythics for early farming either due to bad DPS, high cooldowns, or being really squishy.
