E3: Virtua Tennis 4 being ported for PS Vita launch

Recommended Videos

Sony finally announced the price point for its new handheld, which has been rechristened the PlayStation Vita: $249 for the Wi-Fi-only model, and $299 for the model with Wi-Fi and 3G. Now all that remains to be seen is the quality of the launch lineup, and Sega is doing its part on the sports-gaming front with a port of its recently released tennis title, Virtua Tennis 4.

The team is taking full advantage of the handheld’s unique hardware — VT4 on Vita includes optional front and rear touch panel controls, support for the system’s Party mode for social gaming, and camera functionality for face scanning. You’ll be able to choose from a roster of 22 tennis pros; check out the screenshots in the gallery to see some of them, such as 2011 French Open champion Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Ana Ivanovic, Andy Roddick, and Gael Monfils.
