CD Projekt: Let Witcher 2 hit PC, then we’ll talk console

Recommended Videos

With the PC launch of The Witcher 2 rapidly approaching, we’re starting to see more questions about those fabled console versions pop up. So, how ’bout some answers? Surprisingly, CD Projekt was willing to divulge details to Eurogamer.

“Production wise — coordination and scheduling and budgeting — this is a new project for us,” says senior producer Tomasz Gop of a console version. “But it’s not going to be a completely different game: it’s going to be the same storyline and everything. We’re definitely not a team that can do multiple projects at the same time.”

For now, it’s still technically unofficial, but Gop assures that “We won’t wait to see how well The Witcher 2 does on PC first. After we release The Witcher 2 on PC we just sit down with Excel or Project and make schedules, make plans. Then we will be totally glad to announce what is coming out.”
