The Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy concert series is absolutely amazing. I can’t fully convey how wonderful the couple of performances I’ve attended were. I could barf out a stream of superlatives at you, but nothing comes close to describing how great it is to hear the music of Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu live, performed by a top notch orchestra. Between the show where I interviewed Nobuo Uematsu and the other where I enjoyed the concert outdoors at night, Distant Worlds holds special places in my memories. You have to experience this for yourself.

Maybe we can help. Destructoid is giving away two sets of tickets to the upcoming show in New York, set to take place at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, performed by the Distant Worlds Philharmonic and Chorus, and conducted by Arnie Roth. This show is special for several reasons. First, Nobuo Uematsu will be there. It’s also the first New York show for the concert. Best of all, this will be the North American premiere of music from Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV. These are massive, 150 minute shows with opportunities for meet & greet sessions and autographs at the end.

We’re giving away two sets of two tickets, one set for the April 1st concert and another for the April 2nd show. All you need to do is tell us why you want to go and what you’d like to hear in our comments section below. We’ll pick the best reasons as winners for each night and mail you the tickets. Of course, being near the New York area would be ideal, as transportation is on you, but anyone can enter. We’ll be picking winners this Monday, March 28th, so get your entries in now.
