I love 86-year-old gamer Hilda Knott because she is one of us. This BBC clip on her shows that she plays real games — not Facebook social and mobile crap — and has real gamer cred. Not Solitaire, but Grand Theft Auto. She plays on a 65-inch television, using a new slim model PS3.
When asked why she still plays after 40 years, she says that she appreciates how games keep her mentally active. But with that copy of Disgaea 4 on the table I’d bet her appreciation of gaming goes way deeper than that. Look at her blowing through those menus (see 2:25 mark)!
