I had a feeling that one day, limited edition videogame bundles would cost as much as the consoles you can play them on. That day has come: Codemasters has announced the GameStop.com- and Amazon-exclusive $299.99 bundle for the upcoming racer DiRT 3.
What do you get for three-hundred bones? Well, the game for either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. But that only accounts for $60. The rest of the price is a result of the RC car that comes with it. It’s the Traxxas Ken Block Gymkhana Fiesta (model #7308!), baby.
The thing comes fully assembled and ready to go, with a TQ AM radio, a Titan 12-Turn 550 motor, “adjustable oil-filled coil over shocks,” and XL-2.5 Electronic Speed control. I don’t know what any of that really means, but just based on the price I’m sure it’s awesome, rest assured. Its electronic are also waterproof, and I wouldn’t recommend driving it into a pool or anything, but a light rainstorm is probably okay.
Codemasters says the $299.99 bundle will be in limited supply, so if you want one on DiRT 3‘s May 24 release date, you’ll want to get your order in now.
