16-player co-op Left 4 Dead 2 looks like a bad dream

Confession: When playing co-op Left 4 Dead, I’m the guy who’s always shooting you in the back. I mean, I don’t do it on purpose. It’s just that what if you were a zombie? Also, I’m not a very good shot… and you keep getting in my way, man.

So this strange little hack that allows for up to 16 players join in on a cooperative Left 4 Dead 2 game sounds like it would end in disaster. These videos tell the full story, and are a pretty good indication as to why Valve set the limit to four players during the cooperative campaign. Add any more, and this happens.

Think about it for a moment: Having to scream “close the f*cking door!” at 15 people, while a Tank is trying to enter the safehouse. I think I’ve had nightmares like that…
