Do you know how long we've been wanting to talk about this? I swear it's like a walking around with grenades in your shorts! I'm so ridiculously excited to announce today that Mr. Destructoid is in Pinball FX2 on the Xbox 360!
This creative collaboration with Zen Studios and Twisted Pixel on their upcoming Ms. Splosion Man pinball table, available later this summer as downloadable content on Xbox Live Arcade. If you read our original announcement you'll now understand what Nick was sheepishly hinting at.
Mr. Destructoid appears on the upper left corner of the pinball table, staring ominously back at the gutter. If you're brave enough to hit him ten times (his eyes light up!) his mouth opens and a sub-mission then commences. BANANAS!
The first TMS challenge for Ms. Splosion Man is now available and features Mr. Destructoid as a chasebot! All you need to do to get this free update is go to the "play challenge" section on the Ms. Splosion Man main menu and download it. Simple!
The challenge is only available until end of day July 31 and the top three in the leaderboards for this challenge will win some awesome prizes. The top three winners of the challenge will get a Ms. Splosion Man light-up statue, a super rare Mr. Destructoid Bobblehead and a bunch of shirts and posters from Twisted Pixel and us. One random contestant will also get a Twisted Pixel prize pack just for competing!
Twisted Pixel plans on having a ton of these TMS challenges all through the year. Oh, and because they really love their fans, you can now get free DLC for the original 'Splosion Man! EXPLODE!
At E3, one lucky fan was able to don the amazing Mr. Destructoid helmet. That lucky person was then able to hang out with me. I then used this magical moment as an excuse to go shoot videos of hot E3 girls. Typical Venom.
What a pimp.
Special thanks to Kenny Redublo and Tactix for rocking the helmet as well as the lovely girls from Nyko. Want to volunteer to be Mr. Destructoid at an upcoming gaming event that's happening in your city? Email email@example.com and let us know!
It's been a good couple of weeks since I've hamfistedly typed some ridiculous shpeel about how you guys should buy something, and frankly, that's way too long. The infamous Squidbear shirts are back in stock.
Most shirts are ...
We've got something special planned for tomorrow's beginning-of-April shenanigans, but we are certainly not alone in our journey to entertain.

Brian Provinciano's Retro City Rampage is coming out for Xbox Live Arcade this summer. The XBLA version of the game will have widescreen support, a challenge mode, a character creator mode, and video replays, and it now features Mr. Destructoid as a playable character! You'll be able to find and equip the Destructoid helmet, which will give you some special powers -- but that will be revealed a little later.
Not only that, but Destructoid is also a PLAYABLE level! At some point during your quest in Retro City Rampage, you will have to find Jonathan Holmes to get a special item. The quest is simple enough -- that is, until Dr. Von Buttnick steals the special item and goes on a city-wide rampage in the giant Destructoid robot!
Boom! Happy birthday, Destructoid readers. We'll have more on the Destructoid quest in Retro City Rampage soon. Until then, check out both of the videos featuring the Destructoid appearances.
[Update] Contest closed! Winners are JTHomeslice ("Despite everyone's protests, Hamza stuck to his idea of nipple tassels attached to hats.), mix and John Wilson!
So there's this hat trend right now where people are wearing beanies that look like animals and other neat things. As some of you have actually pointed out to us already, there's even a beanie that looks like our beloved Mr. Destructoid. No, this isn't an official Mr. Destructoid hat. The design is actually based on the Smoking Robot toy from the 80s, which is what our mascot is based on too.
Still, this beanie is a pretty cool and does a pretty good job at keeping your head warm. Hot Topic sells the hats for just $19.99 and have provided Destructoid with three hats to give out to you! To win, you're going to need to give the picture of me wearing the beanie in the gallery some kind of funny caption.
The best three captions will win the hat. Either simply write it out or put the caption on the image and leave your creation in the comments below. Keep the image safe for work and contest is open to US and Canadian residents only. You have until February 25 at 11:59PM CST to enter. Good luck!

Raskulls is a game that Destructoid has been covering since it was little more than a name and a piece of concept art. The art style was instantly endearing and we had a feeling that Australian studio Halfbrick had the potential to create a winner.
In the time since Raskulls' announcement, Halfbrick has become a major player in the mobile gaming market with hits like Fruit Ninja and Monster Dash. Now, if the critics are to be believed, Raskulls is on the road to becoming a hit on Xbox Live Arcade.
Unfortunately, due to the appearance of Mr. Destructoid as an unlockable character, we cannot write an official review. We can, however, big up the game anyway. So we're doing that.
Destructoid Live is playing Raskulls all over again today! We had a blast with it yesterday so we wanted to do it again, especially since it's now available for all to purchase on Xbox Live Arcade! Plus we have even more code...
[Update] Contest closed! Winners are seltzermx, jcmproch, thatoneguyPDX, nexium and Son of Makuta! Check your PMs!

THQ emailed us this absolutely amazing piece of art for Christmas, showing Mr. Destructoid and the characters from de Blob hanging out in the spirit of the season. We use the word "amazing" way too much around these parts, but I think this really deserves it.
You can hit up our gallery to download the massive version if you'd like it for a wallpaper. Merry Christmas THQ, lots of thanks for the picture!
