Mama proves she knows her place:Cooking Mama 3: Shop & Chop

At a glance it may look like Mama is doing more of the same in Cooking Mama 3: Shop & Chop, but Majesco promises that the latest installment in the popular series offers more than just rinse and repeat. In addition to 80 ...

Cooking Mama 3 still has Mama stuck in the kitchen

I'm not a pig, so I won't blindly say that Mama has found her place in the kitchen. But really -- the woman never leaves the kitchen! Well, she does hit the garden now and again, but it seems that she can't stay away the stov...

E3 09: Cooking Mama returns to the kitchen this Christmas

You can put the Cooking Mama in the garden, but you can’t keep the cooking out of the Mama … or something like that. 505 Games has just announced that everyone’s’ favorite fiery-eyed denizen of the di...

Mama and Papa got... it... ooooon!

When Activision announced Science Papa it was easy to assume that it had something to with Cooking Mama. After all, it sounds like basically the same game just with different interests and different sexes. However, Majesco pu...

Cooking Mama really gets around: 4 million games sold

Cooking Mama can be kind of a bitch, but there's something about her that keeps me coming back. It's probably some weird combination of my food lust and a touch of domestic woman fetish. Did you know she's going five games st...

Babysitting Mama trademarked, guess the kitchen got boring

Cooking Mama showed us that Mama could beat the kitchen into shape, and now Gardening Mama is on the way, with Crafting Mama not too far behind. GoNintendo reports that the trademark has recently been filed for Babysitting Ma...

New Gardening Mama screens looking pretty cute

When I first saw the videos for Gardening Mama, I was more or less convinced I was going to pass on it. While I have enjoyed the Cooking Mama titles, the gameplay offered is such light fare that I alwasy find myself getting b...

Majesco slaps down the trademark for Crafting Mama

I like Cooking Mama games. I really do. They're simple, but there's something about them that appeals to my obsessive complusive disorder. When I heard about Gardening Mama, I thought, well, it's technically more of the same,...

Gardening Mama shows off her green thumb in new trailer

While I can't deny that there's something borderline sexist in all of Mama's girly activities, there's also something kind of fun about them (although maybe I think so because I have a vagina). If you agree, check out this ne...

Gardening Mama bends over in America Spring 2009

An innuendo-packed post from earlier this year told you about Gardening Mama, the next in the series of Taito's Mama games. I was going to follow it up with another sexually charged news post, but I think Jim used all the goo...

Taito trademarks 'Pet Shop Mama,' PETA on high alert photo
Taito trademarks 'Pet Shop Mama,' PETA on high alert
by Nick Chester

With a number of successful Cooking Mama games already on the market and another title in the oven (Gardening Mama), Mama sure does get around.

But it doesn't stop in the kitchen or in the garden -- it looks like Mama might be getting some animal friends in the near future. On November 11, Taito Japan filed for trademark of "Pet Shop Mama" in relation to software and all manner of other things potentially videogame-related. What such a game would possibly have mama doing is up for speculation, but we have high hopes for kitten-toenail-clipping mini-games.

Earlier today, we told you about PETA's not-so-sublte attack on the Cooking Mama series with their "unauthorized" Flash game, Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals. We suspect Pet Shop Mama will be a little less, shall we say, M-rated.

E3 08: Hands-on with Cooking Mama World Kitchen

I like the Cooking Mama series. It's fun, easy to play, and best of all, easy to pick up and put down at any moment. I'm going to be honest though: I reviewed both DS incarnations, and as much as I liked them, I felt like I w...

New Cooking Mama feast in the works, now in 3D

I love the Cooking Mama games for both the DS and the Wii. Sure, they're casual games that boil down to really simple control gestures, but there's something about the style and character that I find addictive. Plus, I'm draw...

YO! Sushi dishes up Cooking Mama 2

Like most DS owners, I carry mine with me for a lot of reasons: having a few games at my disposal during time in the doctor's waiting room or on a bus is a great way to kill time that would otherwise leave me fidgity. I can't...
