Disney Infinity, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Kodoku & Bikinis

Well, we got a new camera and I accidentally switched it onto "Sears Portrait Studio" mode, so sorry if I look a little bit like I'm in a porno from the late eighties. (What else is new.) Today, we've got some more details o...

White Xbox One & Crackdown 3 Leaks, PS Vita Slim in UK photo
White Xbox One & Crackdown 3 Leaks, PS Vita Slim in UK
by Bill Zoeker

An flurry of supposed Xbox leaks in the net, with one pointing to a likely commercial release of white Xbox One's. The UK is definitely getting Slim Vita's, but maybe not getting multiple colors. Octodad: Dadliest Catch is out and you should probably go play that. Also, it's got this weird trailer. Nintendo continues its struggle for the attention of the masses by announcing DS games for the Wii U Virtual Console, but also wants to give that whole health monitoring peripheral concept another go. Sony continues it's streak of strong PlayStation Plus content. And, Twisted Pixel has announced that LocoCycle will also be headed to 360 and PC, releasing on Valentine's Day.

Gears of Microsoft, Sly Cooper Movie, & Halo: The Series

Microsoft buys Gears of War, and puts Black Tusk to work on a new game, InFamous: Second Son's latest developer diary gets wet, there's a new video for episode 2 of Bioshock Infinite's Burial At Sea DLC, the Sly Cooper movie gets a trailer, Elysium director Neil Blomkamp is supposedly directing the first episode of the Halo show, and the guy who did the O.D.S.T. commercials is on board for a Ghost In The Shell movie. The Elder Scrolls Online won't require a Playstation Plus membership on top of its monthly fee, Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 is a real thing, and Namco Bandai is now Bandai Namco.

Thief, Middle-earth, Dumbledore in TES Online & Jazzpunk photo
Thief, Middle-earth, Dumbledore in TES Online & Jazzpunk
by Jordan Devore

Here's Max to cap off the week of videogame news. He claims his laptop battery is almost out of juice but I think he just wanted to get the weekend started early. I'd have done the same thing.

The new Thief and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, two games that have experienced their fair share of criticism from fans of those properties, got the preview treatment. We also saw trailers for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Elder Scrolls Online's packed voice cast, and Jazzpunk. That last one will rank among the year's best game trailers, mark my words. Whoa.

More than anything, I'm pleased to hear that Max agrees with me about the stupidity of the name "The Golf Club." Take that, Steven! And bring your puns with you.

Nintendo Fusion, Machinima Xbox Scandal & 'Candy©' Crush photo
Nintendo Fusion, Machinima Xbox Scandal & 'Candy©' Crush
by Max Scoville

Welp, here's your exciting video game news! Lots and lots of fun things, like Nintendo's financial problems, [obvious] lack of plans to move into mobile games, a single Super Smash Bros. screen, and the rumored new console,"Fusion." Microsoft, meanwhile, is in hot water over secretly paying Machinima partners to say nice things about the Xbox One. Alienware's Steam Machines will be un-upgradeable AND annualized, oh boy! Resident Evil 4 is coming out for PC in HD, Sony's got some great Playstation Plus deals, the Candy Crush Saga guys have copyrighted the word "Candy," Disney has abandoned copyrights for Star Wars 1313, and there's a sexy new Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes action figure.

Get Even, Grand Theft Child Abuse & Senran Cook-gera
by Max Scoville

Hey there, teens! Who wants some keen news about the latest "vidz?" Well, too bad, because there's not a whole lot of it. However, there are some new details about Evolve and a trailer for Get Even that doesn't explain much but sure looks pretty. H-Hour: World's Elite gets its first gameplay footage and The Witcher is getting a boardgame. If you've ever wanted a Cooking Mama game where her clothes explode off, exposing her gigantic breasts, well... Senran Kagura Dekomori might be up your alley. Finally, a shitty abusive Japanese stepdad forced a nine-year-old to play Grand Theft Auto IV for hours on end.

CES News, Alien: Isolation, Evolve & IGF Nominees!
by Max Scoville

Whoa, it's 2014! What do you know! Well, here's what we know: Sony has detailed PlayStation Now, the Gaikai streaming plan, Valve has showed off fourteen different Steam Boxes and Dale got to play with that funky new controller. The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 both sold a few million units in a few short months, and that rumored Alien: Isolation game is a real, actual thing that sounds friggin' scary. We don't know much about it yet, but there's also Evolve. Finally, the IGF award nominees have been announced!

Dr. Luigi, Hyrule Warriors, NES Remix & Kingdom Come

Hey gang! Sorry I wasn't around on Tuesday, but there wasn't a whole lot of news -- so here's a rundown of today's big news, including yesterday's big ol' Nintendo Direct, that new realistic medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and the Xbox One's upcoming documentary series on the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Atari 2600 game. No, seriously.

Fallout 4, The Walking Dead, SOMA & Summer Movies
by Max Scoville

Hey gang! Here's your Destructoid news update for this Thursday. I dabbled in some non-gaming news, I hope you don't mind. There are a lot more exciting movie trailers this week than there are game trailers.

The news: Fallout 4 details leak, Elder Scrolls Online gets a release date, SOMA looks creepy, The Walking Dead Season 2 gets a trailer, Call of Duty: Ghosts gets wolf DLC, and there are trailers for Edge of Tomorrow and Jupiter Ascending, both of which look interesting. There are rumors about Jason "Khal Drogo" Momoa being cast in Zak Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman movie, and Christopher Nolan's Interstellar gets a website and a logo.

Hey gang! Here's today's Dtoid Show news-snack. I round-up some of the trailers and news to come out of the VGX abomination this weekend, as well as the rumored Alien: Isolation, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes' release date, and Doom's 20th birthday.

Which Console watches more Porn, BF4 Fixes & FFVIII Hair
by Max Scoville

Hey hey! This video was supposed to go up yesterday afternoon, but a series of unfortunate events resulted in it going up very late last night, and then internet witchcraft prevented me from putting up a post. So, if you don't mind a little reheated day-old news, here ya go. CUT ME SOME SLACK I'M DOING THIS ALL ON MY OWN.

We got an amazing exclusive scoop thanks to Pornhub, EA has told DICE to fix Battlefield 4 before making any new DLC, cops busted up a dude's World of Warcraft livestream after a phony tip, Riot Games' contracts with eSports iJocks apparently prevent them from streaming Fat Princess and Final Fantasy VIII is now on Steam.

The Destructoid Show's Glorious, Bumbling Return

The Destructoid Show: The Next Generation photo
The Destructoid Show: The Next Generation
by Max Scoville

Well, well. Look who's come crawling back. ME.

If you guys have been keeping track, The Destructoid Show came to an end two months ago, and I announced my departure from Revision3 about one month ago. And today, in an effort to further confuse my extended family who were never entirely sure what my job was to begin with, I'm proud to announce that I am back with Destructoid, full-time, as their head warlock of video-related crap -- which will include, in some form, a resurrection of the Destructoid Show.

To kick this off, please join me this Friday at 3:30 PM Pacific time (-8:00 GMT) on YouTube for a LIVE Destructoid Show. Y'know, for old time's sake.
