Tipsters have been sending in quite a few emails linking us to photo galleries of Wii accessories. What we have here is the Wii's Network adapter, input cables, SD Memory card for the Virtual Console, and power charger. It looks like the Wii's wires won't be a horrific mess of tangles, and the power adapter seems to be about the same size as the Gamecube's, which means we won't have to deal with overheating, like with Nintendo's two other competitors.
According to Jeux-France, the Virtual Console memory card will cost 3800 yen (~$32 USD, 24 Euro), the network adapter will cost 2800 yen (~$23.50 USD, 18 Euro), the power cable will cost 3000 yen (~$25 USD, 20 Euro), DVI cables will be sold at 2500 yen (~$21 USD, 16 Euro), while the composite cables will be sold at 1000 yen (~$8.50 USD, 7 Euro). Note that these are all if you happen to be buying the parts outside of the box. Nintendo is
not making you buy all the bits of the system separately. Also, Big Brain Academy is set to be packaged with the Wii for a Spring 2007 launch.
