On Friday night, I was lucky enough to get an invite from the folks at Heavy Melody as they celebrated a job well done with the music and sound effects of the upcoming PC title Neverwinter Nights 2. This independent studio -- which has been around for about three years -- handles other video game projects (some of which they were under an NDA and couldn't tell) as well as commercials and other ventures. As you'll see, the party was not only for their work on the game, but also to honor the yearly dress-up fest that is Halloween.
What did we do, you ask? Well, basically a whole lot of drinking, Guitar Hero, and talking shop with various independant game developers and some producers. Oh the things I wish I could tell you that came out of the drunken mouths of industry insiders.
