Zelda: Breath of the Wild is getting a Xenoblade crossover quest

For Xenoblade Chronicles 2

The special Direct presentation for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was quick, but it had a few key details like an overview of several mechanics and the confirmation of a season pass. Oh, and the announcement of a Zelda: Breath of the Wild crossover quest, which will be a free bit of DLC.

Starting this week, players can boot up Breath of the Wild to engage in a new sidequest that will be introduced in a free update. The point of said quest is to "familiarize" players with Rex, the new hero. After finishing it you'll gain access to the Rex costume.

The promotion will work on both the Wii U and Switch, and will kick off on November 9.
