You won't need a WildStar subscription starting September 29

That's when it goes free-to-play

Before WildStar released, I planned on playing it. Really, I did!

But like so many other MMOs before it, when the big day arrived, I was preoccupied with other games and lost interest. With the relaunch closing in, I suspect many of us will give Carbine Studios' sci-fi RPG another look as soon as subscription fees become optional.

Speaking of which: WildStar is going free-to-play on September 29, 2015. (That's the news!)

Additionally, current subscribers and folks with an invite can participate in the second closed beta as of today. If you don't have a beta key and would like one, try your luck here.
