You drank our milkshake: Dtoid.com E3 stats

Our biggest month ever

Kinda looks like a shark, doesn't it? It's like the Hamza version of how the Andy Kaufman movie ends. We miss that guy and all the editors that came before this month, and now's a good a time to thank them for the legacy work that got us here. It's a big month for Dtoid.

June is not even over yet, and I can't wait to announce it. In the nine-year history of Destructoid.com, we've never had so many people visit the site! You've probably already noticed this from the comments, which at least to me seem busier than ever. We're on track to serve 20+ million Gardevoir articles this month. Take a bow, fish!

If we haven't formally said it, we loved that you visited us during E3. There are a billion gaming websites online, and we're lucky to be amongst the ones being nervous about our database melting. We have a ton of new faces on staff who came at this event from different angles and without a doubt I can say they did a bang-up job. I'm real-titties proud of my team.

I also want to apologize if you received any busy messages or experienced slow loading time. Even on the last day of E3 we were pushing 760 requests per second, serving an ungodly amount of data per hour. We don't even host videos locally and we served over 11 terabytes of text and photos (in more detail below). We still have many optimizations to complete before our new design is 100%, and we're right back in the kitchen this week doing that.

Lastly, just wanted to remind people that you can reach me anytime at Niero [at] Destructoid [dot com] if you have any issues, suggestions, or anything about the site. I'm back full-time as Executive Internet Slumlord, but never too busy to reply to your letters. Feel free to hit me up anytime, especially if you're running your own small gaming site and want to slam your head into a wall. I've been hacking at this for almost 10 years, I can help!

Anyway TLDR thanks for reading us!
