Yo-Kai Watch 4 is coming to Switch this year

In Japan

Level-5 wasn’t kidding when they said that the Switch was their primary platform, and as some pundits suggested, that also means the 3DS is in their rear view mirror.

The studio just announced by way of Famitsu that Yo-Kai Watch 4, the latest main entry in the series, is headed to Switch. It’s confirmed for 2018 in Japan, and as is customary with many Level-5 games, there’s no word on a western localization.

I hope that the steam of the series is chugging along enough in the west where we can actually see this iteration anytime soon. Sadly the third game hasn’t been localized yet, despite the fact that it’s coming up on its second year anniversary. Perhaps the popularity of the anime series will help tip the scales.
