Xbox One Japanese launch sales are just terrible

0

Oof

Xbox One sold 23,562 units in Japan during its opening week, Famitsu reports, while data tracking firm Media Create estimates a total of 25,674. The numbers are ugly no matter how you slice them.

For reference, the Wii U and PlayStation 4 both moved more than 300,000 units in their Japanese debuts, while Xbox 360 launch figures in the country topped 60,000 in 2005.

Japan's best-selling Xbox One game thus far is Titfanfall, with 22,416 copies sold. Kinect Sports Rivals and Dead Rising 3 trail at number two and three with 14,191 and 7,330 sales, respectively.
