Xbox Live Arcade and PS3 ports of After Burner Climax are being discontinued

On Christmas Eve

Another digital game bites the dust.

::pours one out::

It looks like After Burner Climax will no longer be available on the Xbox Live Arcade (360) or PS3 marketplaces on December 24. For those who aren't aware, the game will no longer be for sale, but you can re-download it if you already own it.

Some speculation as to why the game has been pulled involves the rights to actual aircraft that was in Climax. It's a shame to see a game go out like this because of licensing issues -- it would be great if it could be reworked to take out that content, but it likely isn't worth the effort.
