Worms XBLA finally not crappy enough to see the light of day

It seems as if the certification process for Worms on the Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade has been a real back and forth nightmare for developer Team 17. But, it’s all over now, because Microsoft at last gave the anticipated game the final OK. From Eurogamer:

Team 17 marketing director Martyn Brown told Eurogamer the good news earlier this morning, but admitted a release date has yet to be confirmed.

“We’re not sure of the date just yet – it’s only been certified for about six hours! – but I imagine it’ll be a few weeks given the line up,” Brown told us.

Despite the ongoing delays in burrowing towards the elusive certification, Brown remains positive about the overall experience, telling us he had enjoyed making Worms for XBLA. He also revealed that he hoped the Wakefield-based developer would be a part of future downloadable projects.
