World at War: Zombies App gets a lite version

There’s now a demo for Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies (quick, someone make this title stop!) up on the App Store. Excuse me, make that a “lite version” — gotta abide by Apple’s law. Essentially, this is a translation of World at War‘s “Nazi Zombies” from consoles to iPhone/iPod touch.

Yes, you know what that means: emulated, touch-based controls for a first-person shooter. I can never handle the lack of actual buttons for these types of games, but perhaps you don’t mind it so much.

This demo of sorts contains three rounds of the “Nacht der Untoten” map, as well as a whopping two rounds of multiplayer via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or local connection. Since the premium World at War: Zombies App is a full $9.99, it’s probably a good idea to try before you buy.
