Good morning, good day, good weekend, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? It’s wonderful to see you again friends, and I look forward to the spirit and positive energy you will bring to the party this week. I need all you got because I’m exhausted. It’s quite the common story, but I’m just finding myself perpetually tired, struggling to roll out from under the covers. The winter is partly to blame, but I think we’re all mentally exhausted, and no one can blame us. So, if you’re fortunate enough to have a day off this weekend, be sure to get plenty of rest. Perhaps stay in bed a little?..
…Better yet, come stay in mine.

When it comes to video games, I continue in my efforts to surmount two mountains, the first being the heady heights of internal discourse that is Celeste, while the second being Zagreus’ efforts to get away from the sexy, sexy folk residing in The House of Hades. They’re both fantastic games, to the point that I don’t really mind the challenge whatsoever. Sure, we can sometimes become frustrated with the variable difficulty in gaming, but Hades, in particular, has led to me literally punching the air in victory at points — This is an almost involuntary physical response that hasn’t been elicited from my tired nervous system in a long time. More air-punching. That’s what I want from games. That and Juri Feet.
