Whatcha been playing this week, Destructoid?

So what you’re saying is… I’m indestructible?

Hello my lovelies, it’s me, your favorite booty call gamez jurno, welcoming you to another exciting weekend filled with opportunities for promise and regret. This week, I’m coming to you more powerful than ever, thanks to receiving a double dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Despite being older than everybody on the planet, I was one of the last people I know to get called-up, but the job is done — I’ve got The Vaxx. Does that mean I’m abandoning masks and isolation? Lord no, the pandemic is still a very real and very dangerous problem, and I will continue to keep myself and those around me as safe as possible, regardless of what my clown government suggests. It’s nice to have some level of defense though. With that said, Whatcha been playing Destructoid?

Anyway, to video games. I’ve kind of been run off my feet this week with a lot of work and some prep for upcoming features and reviews, but I did spend a little time indulging in some gaming action. I’ve been replaying River City Girls to round up my few remaining trophies, while also checking out the brainpunk carnage of Bandai Namco’s Scarlet Nexus. I’d love to dive into the awesome-looking Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, but I have a few walls to clamber over first. Honestly, I find all y’all inspiring, I have no idea where you find the time!

On that subject, I’m handing the floor over to you for this episode of Whatcha been playing Destructoid. Before you get your weekend underway, please leap into the comments and share with us the games that you’ve been playing this week/weekend. Like the early UFC days, There Are No Rules, (even though there were rules),  so whether it’s a new or old game, a backlog pick, or a brand new purchase, share with the community your current gaming obsessions. Thank you for making this article a success, week after week, it means a lot.

Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
