Whatcha been playing this week, Destructoid?

Getting messy with Cassie

As is sometimes the case seven days after a Saturday, it's Saturday again. We're bang in the middle of 2019. Going pretty quickly, right? I hope that you've all had a nice week and half-year thus far. If things have been a bit rough, I'm sorry to hear that, but there's still plenty of time to turn things around, so don't lose hope on the week, the month, or even the year. I believe in you.

Not much gaming for me this week. A lot of old school stuff, as well as jumping in and out of my regular haunts. The first Kompetitive Season ended for Mortal Kombat 11 and - although time kept me from reaching Elder God status - I still managed to bag a bunch of skins and accessories. I still find frustration with the fighter's hugely disrespectful online community, but regardless, at the core of MK 11 is a great fighting game, one I'm probably locked into for a year, at least.

But that's my blah, let's hear about yours. Tell us what you've been playing this week/weekend. Maybe you're taking part in the Gears 5 tech test, perhaps you're fighting the final splatfest, or maybe you're just chilling with whatever happens to be stuck in the drive right now. Let us know, we enjoy peering into your gaming habits. Through your window. At night.

Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
