Eugen Systems is back with Wargame: AirLand Battle, a follow-up to its real-time strategy game European Escalation. This sequel retains the 1975-85 Cold War setting, in addition to the eight nations featured by its predecessor. Four new ones have been added, which brings the vehicle/unit count up to a whopping 750+.

Improvements to the IRISZOOM Engine, a new Urban Combat Interface for battles within cities, and an upgraded Deck system for army customizing in single- and multiplayer are being promised. AirLand Battle isn’t due out until next year, but it will be present at gamescom; look for Focus Home Interactive in Hall 4.2, Stand I-050a or Koch Media in Hall 7.1, stand B051 – B041.
