They say their calling “game on,” but I know that Walmart has their eye on Amazon.com when it comes to the prices of games. And they’re not about to give their sales up to Amazon either. Instead of backing down, they’ve cut prices on key games to match Amazon’s.

They sent us a list of what had been cut, and here are some of the highlights:

  • Left 4 Dead 2 – $50
  • Halo 3: ODST – $50
  • Uncharted 2 – $50
  • Dragon Age: Origins – $50
  • Batman Arkham Asylum – $50
  • Tekken 6 – $50
  • Rock Band: Beatles (Wii) – $40

As you can see, these are about $10 price cuts. Not bad. Even better, if you’re looking to get a Wii, from December 5 through 12, you’ll also get a $50 Walmart gift card. As for the games, its about a 15-20% discount. Nice.

The game discounts are good until Christmas Eve.
