Valiant Hearts creator teams up with Wyclef for Lost in Harmony

'Mystical and brave'

Valiant Hearts' director Yoan Fanise worked at Ubisoft for 14 years before leaving earlier this year to form his own studio, Digixart Entertainment. Today at Tokyo Game Show, the fledgling company revealed its first title, Lost in Harmony.

It is described as a "narrative musical game," using music to communicate the story without any words. Fanise is working on this project with three composers, Roc Chen, Mark Griskey, and Wyclef Jean. Yep, that Wyclef Jean.

Digixart cites Miyazaki as an artistic influence and it shows. Fanise wants to make a music game about more than just keeping the rhythm, but judging from the trailer below, Lost in Harmony has its fair share Elite Beat Agents-style tapping, as well as some obstacle avoidance. Some of the environments protagonist Kaito skateboards through are pretty bizarre, with Facebook and Twitter icons floating around or Tetris pieces littering the road.

Lost in Harmony is due out in 2016. No platforms have been specified.
