Unravel is an adorable new puzzle platformer

Yarn but not Yoshi

At EA's press conference earlier today, the big publisher unveiled something that felt a little out of character, but in all the best ways. Unravel is a puzzle platformer that makes use of the craft item look Nintendo has been monopolizing lately. It stars the not-very-cleverly-named Yarnie as he jumps and swings across the environment while leaving a trail of red yarn behind.

He can use his yarn trail for various abilities. In the trailer he used it to swing from anchor points, attach to a kite, and wrangle a fish.

We will have more information on Unravel in a preview after the press conference.
