We’re fans of Uncharted 2, which is why we nominated it for Game of the Year. So it’s nice to see that Naughty Dog are continuing to improve the experience — title “update 3” for Uncharted 2 should be live by the time you read this.

What does it do? Well, a bunch of stuff related to the game’s multiplayer, and you can read about that in fancy list form after the jump. But some of the key changes include some pretty nice improvements in load time between the voting screen and the actual match. Good news for those you simply must start shooting at things as fast as possible. A “rematch” functionality has been added to multiplayer as well, another nice addition for those looking to start shooting at things as fast as possible… again.

For those in Uncharted 2 clans, “Clan Tags” have been added, too. You’ll be able to add a custom four letter Clan Tag that will appear before your PSN ID while playing. Now everyone will know you’re part of the “BRB” or “LOL” clan or whatever it is people are doing these days.

Check out all of the updates after the jump.

  • Added Version number to game menu – should display 1.03 after this update
  • Added Clan Tags – all players can now add a custom four letter Clan Tag in the Profile Menu (square) to display on-screen before their PSN ID
  • Load times have been decreased significantly
  • Added “Rematch” functionality
  • Adjusted some Boosters for balance
  • Addressed issue with Player’s Met screen in game menu and XMB displaying incorrectly
  • Addressed issue with Double Cash not doubling medal cash rewards
