Uber rolls out the first Monday Night Combat tweaks

Recommended Videos

In case you weren’t aware, Uber Entertainment is running a system that allows them to essentially edit a text file to tweak certain values that impact how balanced — or not! — Monday Night Combat is. This sidesteps certification (an often lengthy process), which the company’s standard updates will have to go through.

Uber has made its first changes, and here they are:

  • Time between Crossfire matches changed from 60 to 45 seconds
  • Minimum number of players needed to start Crossfire changed from 8 to 6
  • Custom bot spawner timer changed from 5 to 10 seconds
  • Changed message of the day

A full update for bugs, exploits, etc. is being worked on right now. Knowing Uber, they’ve been listening to what the fans have been saying — and screaming. So yeah, we don’t need to get into the whole Support thing again.

Also: consider this your one reminder to see the stupidly awesome action flick The Running Man.
