Torchlight 2 tiptoeing around Diablo III’s release

May 15th. Judgement day. The day that nearly every PC gamer will shun their family, friends, and workmates to plant themselves behind their glowing screen of goodness to destroy the Prince of Darkness one more time. But not everyone is going to be partaking in this bloody good time, namely the developers of Torchlight 2, who still need to finish and ship their game.

Runic Games’ Max Schaefer recently told Joystiq that the sequel to their runaway 2009 hit will “ideally” release about a month after Diablo III, and that he wants to be the “inexpensive” alternative to Blizzard’s behemoth.

But lets not forget the most amazing bit of Torchlight news: I still think the Embermage totally looks like Princess Jasmine. With any luck, Runic Games is going to take dungeon crawling to a whole new world.
