A new stability patch is live for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, across all platforms. The update is set to address bugs and make game stability improvements for all the turtle-powered action.

According to publisher Dotemu, the patch addresses some “tedious bugs” and adds a number of improvements, both for gameplay and online features.

“Tribute Games to the rescue!” Dotemu declared on Twitter, shouting out the TMNT developer alongside the announcement of the update.

The patch notes are fairly lengthy. In it, Tribute Games and Dotemu detail a number of fixes, some big and some small.

For example, under the Gameplay Bug Fixes, there’s a fix for enemies sometimes getting frozen after a Fling Slam. That’s a bit jarring to the action, and probably uncomfortable for those Foot Clan fighters.

There’s also some fixes for online co-op play, addressing crashes and connection issues. Thus, it should hopefully be a bit smoother to form a Turtles crew over the web.

A smoother Turtles experience

Broader improvements have also been made to the game. Performance should be improved as now, all possible enemies that will be used in a stage will be preloaded. Transitions and boss position snapping should also be improved.

Plus, platform icons are now listed for online games and friends. And for the Steam Deck players, support for input glyphs specific to the Steam Deck has been added.

tmnt shredder's revenge review april

All-in-all, it sounds like a good update for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge fans who might have run into some issues playing through the game. Having seen some of these online issues firsthand when some pals tried to organize a co-op session, it’s nice to see this update.

The TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge patch should be live now on all platforms. And if you think that’s it for the summer in terms of Turtles games, I have some good news. TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection is set to launch later this month on August 30. And yes, it has rollback netcode.
